Sanibel Light House / Gulf Side Beaches

This is the beach area of Sanibel west of the old Lighthouse. You can walk to this from the Sanibel Fishing Pier. A variety of opportunities can exist here for shorebirds and waders. This could be a morning or afternoon spot depending on what you desire.

Directions: Once coming across the Sanibel Causeway you will come to a 4-way intersection. Make a left on Periwinkle Way and continue to the end. There will be entrances on the left & right to small metered parking areas. The lot to the left will be your closest to the Gulf Side Beaches. This is also known as Lighthouse Point.
